Roaming Free is back! This time around, I look at the free point-and-click narrative game Serena, a tech-demo for Senscape’s upcoming game Asylum!


Why was I so impressed by a simple one-hour game? Why do I feel like it’s the best psychological tension game I’ve played since Silent Hill 2? I dig into the details of Serena’s subtle design and reliance on creeping tension, and how it’s restored something not many horror games have tried recently.
